The teaching of Natural Sciences at Cowan House is an integral part of the school’s Environmental Education programme. Children are exposed to a wide variety of sciences, focusing on the specific skills which will be needed at High School. Fieldwork, excursions and practical investigations enhance the scientific experience. There is an emphasis on fieldwork with structured investigations of systems such as forests, wetlands, and freshwater streams. The school has had Eco-school status since 2004. |
